https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Dokes_vs._Mike_Weaver Enjoy! And let me know what you think and where I can improve! Salut!!!
Not bad, not bad at all. Some decent basics and research in there. The three widely recognised press sections all scored it close for Weaver. Unofficial AP scorecard: 143-142 Weaver Unofficial UPI scorecard: 144-142 Weaver Unofficial L.A. Times scorecard: 143-142 Weaver Weaver was training 1 to 2 days a week prior to the Norton conversation and taking on anyone on any amount of notice. One time he received a call early night and drove across towns to fight a guy the next day. I think it's important to distinguish the difference between Weaver pre Norton/dedication and how he wasn't the same fighter, not even close. You do state it was the turning point of his career but i'd highlight it just a little more myself. Something like "This turned out to be a turning point in Weaver's career and his career took off thereafter". Despite his less than stellar record at this point Weaver was blessed with natural power. But it's your article and well done.
It’s a funny thing how Hercules was more music and art inclined and didn’t care all that much for boxing. I don’t think he had the passion to be much more then he became which like many pros-was more then enough.
I know checkout my PFP. Different to them is Weaver preferred it to boxing- actually I think Tunney sort of resented boxing like a bit of a Eubank Snr? Mickey Walker seemed like a natural fighter.
