Every time Canelo walks to the ring to fight, he should be accompanied by Bob Bennett & the NSAC & the entire gang of Vegas officials . Simply because that is who his opponent is fighting not just Canelo. His opponents only chance of winning comes if he can K O Canelo & he'd better not do that with a body blow. That sounds ridiculous but really thats how it is today

This is just inaccurate. I've no problem giving Canelo the credit he deserves. I'm just realistic about how much that is.

Saying he's greater than Sanchez is completely unfounded. Sal made title defences, and dominating two legitimate all-time greats; whereas Canelo has struggled twice with a borderline all-time great. Beating Nelson and Gomez is far more impressive than GGG & Kovalev, as well as anything else on Canelo's résumé; and his wins over Castillo, Lopez 2x, Laporte, Cowdell and Ford are better than wins over Jacobs, Lara, Trout, Saunders and Smith.

Canelo has a bit more depth, and has moved about in weight, but Sanchez was a far better operator, was a much better at featherweight than Canelo has been at any of his weights; and had a title reign which rivals anything Canelo has done at all weights - all at twenty three years old. Had he stayed alive, he'd have taken on both Pedroza and Arguello.

Sanchez is much greater, and clearly a better fighter to boot.

Canelo's high intensity training - and bad knees - will age him a lot faster than people think, especially if he moves up to 175lbs.

Not to mention he's been fighting as a pro since 15, has fought a lot of rounds, and has been fighting at world level for most of his pro career.

His win against Nelson was good, but Sanchez possessed every single advantage over him, including experience, and maturity. This was Nelson's 13th fight in a 2.5 year boxing career, a very green, and inexperienced at the world level when he lost to Sanchez.

His win over Gomez was spectacular given the way he beat him, but he also benefited of all the physical advantages, and Gomez was moving up in weight.

As skilled and as promising as Sanchez was, his life was cut short, and we never saw him reach his full potential. You can't give a fighter credit based on what you think would happen.

Canelo's only loss is against the greatest fighter on the 2000's, a certified ATG in Mayweather. Had close fights against Golovkin, and Lara. Its crazy how people hold close fights with the top fighters in their division against Canelo. lol

LMW- Beat the best two fighters, best three if you count Cotto.
MW- Beat the best two fighters.
SMW- Beat the best two fighters.
LHW- Beat a top three LHW champion by KO

What top Featherweight champions did Sanchez beat?

Canelo already surpassed Barrera, and possibly Marquez too.
