well it was very entertaining to say the least while it lasted but i think it is safe to say its curtains for gatti, hell it was safe to say that after baldomir schooled him. ive seen gatti take some floggings but i have never seen him that out of it after a fight........all those huge ounches he took over his career are catching up with him, i did feel sorry for him. i also think the fight went for a little to long it could of been stopped earlier. Gomez looked impressive to.:good always had a lot of respect for him being the smaller guy on the contender then calling out manfredo jnr and shocking him.
Gatti might unfortunately end up alot like Freddie Roach. Been is some huge wars and has come off second best in many of them. He should have called it quits when Micky Ward did - he was never going to be the same after those 3 brutal fights and it would have been a great time to retire. Why he stuck around to get flogged by PBF and the very mediocre Baldomir ill never know.

The reason that Gatti keeps fighting guys is that Gatti has been called shot so many times in his career. He was called shot after losing consecutively to Manfredy and Robinson, and then made a string of impressive wins including probably the most brutal KO of all time against Gamache. After Oscar whupped him people called him shot again so he changed his game under McGirt, learned to box more and put on possibly the best trilogy in boxing history against Ward. After Ward when people thought he should once again retire, he beat a handful of top contenders including Branco, Leija and Dorin who are all good fighters. Even after the embarrasing loss to Floyd, he came back against the unbeaten and highly regarded Daamgard and KO'd him. I agree that he is most definitely done now, but he has bounced back so many times he is a very tough fighter to write off.
Robinson was a good fighter also. Good boxer pretty quick. Much better then Gomez or even Baldomir.Boxah was banned for ages. Seems pretty unfair to me. Anyway I will have the avatar waiting.
