Byrd at cruiser on under card of Vitali vs Gomez

    he still has very little power, even at cruiserweight. he won't be winning many decisions either because his workrate has reallly gone down the hill. he doesn't throw punches in bunches like he used to, his reflexes aren't that great anymore too. so how is he going to win fights?

    that's kind of the point i was trying to make when i concluded that he's best off ending his career with a couple of wins over non descript or relatively easy comp. when i referred to his speed decline, i mean reflexes (which imo has a lot to do w speed) too. you're right there's certainly no power advantage over a solid to good cruiser. byrd still i'd imagine has a good skill set especially defensively so that could help him be compettive with some b level cruisers. but again, he should call it a day soon unless there's some remarkable turn around in form which appears impossible
