Byrd doesn't have the power to take advantage of Haye's chief weakness. But he could starch him anyway.
Byrd would wear Haye out with his defense, and I think towards the later rounds Byrd's punches would take a toll on Haye and stop him. Though Byrd would have to watch out for Haye's rabbit punches.
Byrd was quick for a heavyweight but not as quick as Haye. Plus, as already mentioned, he didn't have the power Haye has. Haye by KO.
Going by resume and achievement there's only one pick as of right now: Byrd. If Haye walks through Wlad then I'm more than happy to change my opinion.
Byrd is equally quick and has superior defense and durability. Haye has far more power, obviously, but also is more offensively talented. I think either Byrd frustrates Haye's offense and narrowly outpoints him or Haye hurts him pretty badly and stops him. His speed and angles may get him through enough to do it.
Yeah I'd go with Byrd. BTW I don't think Haye ever stops Byrd, that shot Byrd took from Ike I. and got up shows that he had a world class chin. The same can't be said for Haye.
