He refuses to fight Walters( who's Walter by the way) for 90k.WBA says he will be strip if refuses.
I feel bad for Celestino ,the guy is already 36 and could never land the super fight he dreamt of.Losing to Litzau was a huge step back.
    Scene.

    Too bad.

The guy was the first to beat Ponce De Leon and impressively beat fight of the year winner Somsak.

It's such a a shame a good fighter never made good bucks.

Who knows, maybe there'd still be some luck for him.

Remember, a man named Juan Manuel Marquez once fought in Indonesia for 70k and look at where he is now.

I thought TMT Promotions was supposed to take care of this guy. Did he just end up getting transferred to Mayweather Promotions?

He is ducking Garcia and Walters. I hope, they will take the belt from him.

JMM only made $36k against John actually.

I think this is an okay purse considering the fight. It's not ideal but, at this point in his career, it would be better for Caballero to stay active and hope to get in position for a big fight.

A guy with his freakish height and dimensions is always going to struggle to get fights unfortunately, especially when he doesn't have a big fan base.

I think I read his 'team' didn't even submit a purse bid for this fight. Yeah, they took care of him.

Always been a huge Caballero fan. I would say **** it too. Gives his whole life to a sport that he can't retire from. Whats the point?

Maybe it's just me, but $90,000 seems a reasonable purse for a Featherweight defending their 'title' in a fight that wouldn't be seen as a big one.

Surely he was paid less when defending his belt/s down at Super-Bantamweight vs Mejia and Leal ?. Okay this probably presents a much bigger risk, but still.

How often has he been paid more than 90k per fight?

Garcia is the one who turned down Caballero after Top Rank lost the purse bid.

If I recall didn't Caballero turn down the date the promoter picked?

His team is gonna eat a lot of that **** and it does nothing for his career. He is looking for a big fight. I don't blame him for refusing.
