    Over at blah-blah-blah of boxing:

"I respect Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. for having the balls to call me out.....bigger balls than [Yuriorkis] Gamboa and Juanma [Lopez]. His fathter was a great fighter and I will continue his father's work by beating him like his daddy. Congratulations to him though, at least he's a man," Caballero said.

I like how "The Towering Inferno" carry his trash talks. So natural.

When will people realize that Arum is the one that don't want Cab to face either Lopez or Gamboa. Lopez and Gamboa are fighters that will fight whoever the promoters puts in front of them. I'm proud of Vazquez Jr for having the big guts to challenge Caballero. But the question will Vazquez Jr promoter and father make a deal with Cab promoter Lou to make the fight happen? My guess is no cause Vazquez Sr i don't think will let it happen cause he might feel his son is just not ready yet.

Gamboa does not have small balls, Caballero is unreasonable for not taking the 250K while it was on the table. Elio Rojas seems to have taken the same offer, and he isn't complaining. Caballero is good at talking ****, but you are right, he needs to back it up. He always seems to be having trouble finding fights, ever wonder its because he expects more than what is reasonable for a fighter of his status.

Still, Vazquez vs. Cab would be a very interesting fight, I'll dig it.

I've heard that he was asking for 500K, as the total purse was 250K. This is a big difference, but you also have to take into consideration that Gamboa is the WBA Champ, Cab would be the challenger so its only fair that it is NOT 50-50.

Also, its not Gamboa who makes the decision as to what the purse is, that is Arum's and DiBella's decision. It is not his direct decision to lowball Cab, although I do think that it is fishy that he asks for 250K more and he has fought opposition of a much lesser level than Cab. Either way, (who is to blame more) it is a shame we cannot see that fight, another example of what is wrong with boxing.

I've read they offered Rojas 300k. Cab has better resume and achievement compared to Gamboa and JuanMa. He's the WBA and IBF super bantam champ. He deserves better than 250k.

But thats in a different division. He moved up to featherweight where the money is. He expected that after playing gatekeeper for one fight against Yordan/testing the waters he would get the big money. Had he taken the fight against Gamboa, won and then went on the fight Lopez or John, he would have gotten a huge payday.

Its kind of like rating p4p vs. individual division rankings. Your accomplishments need to be judged at that level before you are rated highly. That is why Cab is rated top 10 p4p, but at 5-8 depending on the ranking system at featherweight. At bantamweight, sure he definitely deserves the money, but he hasn't exactly been making massive waves at featherweight......yet.
