    Goodnight :hi:

Izzy KO4. We've seen him stalk down the tall lanky type before. And for all Celestino talks about fighting with more finesse against more finessed opponents, he was getting hit without difficulty tonight even when he tried to box on the outside. One good hard clean shot from Israel should have him horizontal and beltless. :deal

I like Caballero. Seen him outbox De Leon and KO Samswach(sp?). And KO Castillo's little brother on a Spanish station. He looked like crap tonight but his opponent made it a dirty fight. With all that said, Vasquez breaks him in half with a body shot.

Yeah I wasn't intending to knock Celestino, he's pretty good. But both Israel and Rafael KO him within 6 rounds, I'd bet the bank. :good

Hell to the hell yeah. Big difference in skill and everything else. I have never seen two little guys crack like marquez and vasquez. Bantam weights what the ****.

    SUPER. :good

But yeah both 118 and 122 are loaded with talent, don't let the fact that these two are so far ahead of the pack fool you. Let's not forget that Silence made Rafael scrape and work his ass off in two very good, tough fights. And clearly Jhonny hasn't lost his draw power after losing to Izzy, he's still very much a factor. And there's tons of other names too. They're just all obscured by the very long shadow of the Mexico City Federal District dynamic duo, who right now seem to be unbeatable at 118 and 122 except by each other.

I dont think Calaberro is quite on their level.

He is the kind of fighter who can give second tier fighters the fits and usually beat them convincingly. But I just cant see him taking on the best and prevailing.

Then again Vasquez can be outboxed, if they fought Caleberro would definitely take some rounds of Israel, until he gets ko'd that is.

I thought LaCierva's comment was interesting, that he isn't a great champion, but rather just an excedingly difficult fighter. Like what I imagine people might have said had Augustus ever had a long title reign.

I also thought it was funny that neither wanted to own up to their own dirtiness but was more than happy to chide the other and the ref. :yep

we've seen from tonight cabrello cant handle pressure

either marquez/vasquez will ko him early

Cabrello should just go after the winner of bautista/deleon if he really wants to unify

Far more winnable scenario, yes. What would be great for the sport, and for him financially if not legacy-wise, is if he then took a payday against Vazquez and brought three belts together in the process of getting KTFO.

I agree, both Marquez and Vasquez would put it to Cabrello.

Caballero looked MUCH worse tonight than he had in his past 3 fights, and those 3 fights were all against better opponents. I think he just didn't take this fight all that seriously, and it took a long time to get his legs under him.

Caballero can handle pressure just fine - in case you didn't notice, he destroyed Ponce De Leon, who's a classic pressure fighter (albeit not nearly as good as Rafa or Izzy). When Caballero boxes on the outside, he can be dominant. His problem is that he loves to head inside, where he is much more vulnerable, and he lunges forward too much with big shots from the outside that he shouldn't even be attempting.

I suspect either of them would beat him unless they have a bad day, but it's another fight that would be entertaining, and he's a clear #3 in my mind.
