This was apparently supposed to be a light fly contest originally but they both missed weight. (Garay by more but Saldaña by still 1½lbs)

Really nice back and forth game of violent chess; Núñez scoring better in the first minute and Muñoz in the next. First to go down is Núñez, ruled a slip. Quick right jabs scooting back to setup range and BIG right hooks on the hip by Núñez. Heavy flurries on the body rising up to chin-pinching hooking combos by Muñoz. Leaping underhanded body shots by Núñez to escape the ropes. Fantastic opener but zero chance they can last seven more of those..

 

Maybe slight edge to Núñez?

 

Muñoz walking through fire to bring early white-hot stifling pressure of his own in the second.

 

Núñez has a nice thing going with the step-back right jab on the belt line, followed by a steadying left cross on the gut and then a whipping right hook on the flank. Beautifully pieced together combo.

 

Despite the prettier work of Josesito aka "El Magnifico", the pressure of Muñoz brought him a lot of success with heavy body shots.

29-28 Núñez, able to slip & counter effectively and then smother Muñoz with clinches or just leaning down against him laterally with his left side, arm bent around his side...but he needs to be careful in there. Muñoz the bigger dog in there, both figuratively & literally.

WTF is with the coaches biting the glove tape off like hungry savages falling upon prey?

 

Was that a headbutt in the gonads??

I don't think you can outdo that for "most fouls packed into a single fluid motion" unless you somehow also contorted yourself on a single leg & combined it with a rabbit heel kick behind the neck.
