If Dos Santos can't catch Cain coming in, like Kongo, Dos Santos is in trouble. Velasquez will bust him up on the inside.
Dont get me wrong fella Im not doubting his abilities. But atleast Cains wrestling will take him out of his comfort zone
Cigano by devastating stoppage, The Cain train is coming to a halt. If you think Kongo got him bad you ain't seen nothing yet.
I think this will be one of the biggest if not the biggest fight in the ufc heavyweight divisions history.Im looking foward to this fight, you got two of the best fighters fighting each other with the belt on the line it doesnt get any bigger than that. With that said im going to go with Dos Santos by stoppage within the first 3 rounds but its not gonna be easy at all.....really the fight can go either way im just hoping for a great fight
Been waiting for this fight since 2009. Cain and JDS are easily my two favourite heavyweights, I suffered through the Brock/Mir drama, and the bull**** interim **** abouts with Carwin et al. I was near inconsolable when Cain injured his shoulder, then possibly the worst season of the Ultimate Fighter I've ever had to sit through... **** I thought I'd never get to see this. Epic ****ing fight, made all the more brilliant by Ciganos performance last night (who'd've thunk he could've stuffed Carwins takedowns, let alone get a few himself?), granted he didn't get the finish, but Carwin proved he's got a very decent chin, and Junior seemed pretty catious, even going into the last round, fair enough given Carwins power.
They are by far the two best athletes and most complete fighters in the UFC hw division. It's going to be an insane fight. Cain's TDs are excellent, as is JDS's TD defence (and his TDs weren't too shabby against Carwin in the 3rd round either), plus JDS is a BJJ brown belt. Both guys are very good boxers, though I definitely think JDS has an edge in skillset, and there's not a big gap in terms of power between them. Cain is a bit more ruthless/lethal as a fighter, as I can't see him slacking off on guys the way Junior did with both Nelson and Carwin. But JDS could use the jab to bust Cain up and pick him apart with combinations, if indeed he can avoid the takedown. Will Cain's recovery from injury play a part? Can JDS capitalise on his ring-rust? Or is Cain such a finely conditioned athlete that this won't even matter? Really, this fight could go any way. I'm still backing JDS to win on points, but I don't say that with all that much confidence. Would not be surprised at all if Cain's energy, determination and brutal offence saw him pull out the victory.
this is ganna be the most anticipated heavyweight fight for years. my moneys on cain. all things being reasonably equal i think hell just be too rugged, too relentless and too tough
Im going with JDS on this one. His TD defence looked good against carwin and his hands where killing carwin he even stunned carwin with a jab in the first round and i think it should have been stopped when JDS was mashing carwins face he even asked the ref if he wasnt gonna stop it. Smart by JDS not to punch himself out the last 10 sec and let it go to the other round.
Its a pick em which is sure to get the whole MMA community on fire .... that is til Ubereem enters the scene and shows these two how it's really done
Junior seem to like to fight at his own pace and i'm not sure if he can handle the pace and relentless type of pressure that Cain grings to a fight. I want to see how JDS reacts when he's hurt, roughed up a bit and things aren't quite going his way.
