We knew Jones was just about shot, but last night's display is about as bad as it gets for Roy. That loss is just as bad as the ko losses. Roy got outboxed. When he got outboxed by Griffin at times in teh first fight, he was able to change his style...his body wouldn't let him last night. Jones looked smaller than Cal, weaker, and survived on heart alone. Good night Roy, I hope we don't hear another Mel Taylor story. It's time to watch your kids grow up, and it's time to indulge in future endeavors.

Yes Nallege, you were wrong about RJJ after all. As I think you will be about Pac beating Oscar too.

However, you are correct on this thread now. Anyone who argues with you on this point needs to remove their head from Joe Calzaghe's arse-crack and watch Roy Jones's last 6 fights before last night on dvd.

As I said after the 2nd Tarver fight in 2004 (I thought maybe the 1st was just an off-night), and have been saying ever since after each fight, Roy Jones became SHOT coming back down from heavyweight.

Joe Calzaghe knew he was the easiest opponent out there, and that's why this sham of a fight happened.

Roy is shot, but let us not forget what a magnificent fighter he once was. The greatest of his generation. Superman. :bbb

Nobody except a couple of wierdos claim this was anything close to prime Roy.

The problem is that half the people on this board were still predicting Roy would "expose" Calzaghe, just like they did before Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins. Calzaghe beats the guy that is in front of him. You can't ask for more than that.

The Calzaghe hate needs to stop. You are all missing out on appreciating a special fighter just because of some pathetic agenda.
