Reid vs Ottke.......

Well - Reid was pretty dominant in the opening rounds, forcing Ottke onto the back foot, who admittedly evaded a lot of punches but took more than what he actually threw himself.

The referee was pretty damn awful for 12 rounds, threatening to DQ Reid for daring to punch his opponent in the face - thus he was clueless and effectively surrendered the rest of the fight.

Reid vs Joe was a very good, close fight - the judges cards were a little wide either way. I had it 115-113 for JC, but a rematch was certainly in order.

Joe only has ONE great win over a prime fighter - Kessler. And for that he needed the largest fancrowd in history to unsettle the talented but relative to Joe unexperienced Kessler.

The only other two good names on Joe's list are Hopkins and Eubanks.

Several other opponents are far from bums, but also don;t really give Joe a lot of credit. Bika, Reid, Mitchell etc. are people that Je MUST beat with ease if he wants to have any chance of being considered a great fighter.

It is certainly not great but the fighters in the first post are far from "bums".

 

Ottke was the better fighter throughout? Goodbye credibility. Reid was robbed of the fight by the refereer not the judges anyway. He was constantly warned for punching Sven, a cardinal sin in the world of boxing.
