    toney would win.
he would simply shut calzaghe down, make him gun shy and probably stop him.
    toney is awesome!

Tony....does he eat cheeseburgers as part of his training regime? No, I'll take Calzaghe here to win via UD.

    toney

i watched his fight with jirov last night and while joe is faster he throws a lot of punches like jirov. toney carved up jirov bad and that was at 190

since in their primes theyd fight at 168 id have to go with toney. it be a good fight though

    Calzaghe UD

His in and out movement would trouble Toney. The way to beat a prime Toney is to give him just enough movement, which prevents him from getting into a counter punching rhythm, and volume punching. I see Joe being cautious about the counter right hand and fighting a smart, tactical, in-and-out fight. He would also utilize his advantages from a distance, since he is taller and quicker. I've always considered Toney a better inside fighter than outside fighter.

Calazzage would be the bisuier of the two in that he would throw more punches but he would miss a lot of them too. Or more acurtly Toney would make him miss a lot. Toney would throw fewer but harder punches.
    Toney by late round knockout.

    Toney.

Better defense and the much more sharper, accurate puncher. While Calzaghe will try to throw a lot; Toney would be making him miss (most of 'em, anyway) and making him pay.

    VERY clear UD.

    (So imagine a prime Roy :D )

James Toney CLEAR UD. Despite what some might think, Calzaghe's style plays right into Toney's strength. Actually, I think toney would land so much a stoppage isn't out of the question. Toney was a hard, accurate puncher. Very smart fighter with defense that would make Joe look foolish. The Calzaghe nuthugging is just getting out of control here.
