I was very impressed with Rosado's performance vs Jacobs, I thought Jacobs was very lucky to get that decision. But don't be silly - Rosado didn't perform "better" against Jacobs than Canelo did. Canelo clearly beat Jacobs and it was a domination until the later stages. Rosado vs Jacobs was a much closer and more debatable as to who won. That said, I think Rosado given his improvement in recent years could be the biggest threat to Canelo at 168 at this point. Rosado's size, slickness and high level boxing skill would be a very difficult stylistic match for Canelo.

 

It really depends what version of Saunders shows up vs Canelo Alvarez. At his best, he would provide a tough challenge for Canelo with his speed and awkwardness. However we've seen several lackluster performances from Saunders, and at this point I'm just not convinced that Saunders is mentally preprared for Canelo. Could he motivate himself to get in the kind of shape he needs to be in to compete vs Canelo?

 

Plant is claiming he hurt his right hand early and couldn't throw it with power.

I don't know. While he definitely has skills he is missing the extra gear great fighters have.

He actually looked awkward when trying to apply max pressure on Truax.

Truax, at this point in his career, was made for Plant yet Plant could not seal the deal.

Not a good sign.

 

Rock vs Fat Andy, who ya got? Just kidding, Fat Andy destroys this guy but the flab episode be flying. These guys need to give Canelo’s butcher a call. I think a steady diet if those special clen-carnade-asada steaks (especial?) would slim them down and help maintain muscle mass. With modern chemistry, there is no excuse for being this fat. Look at Canelo, he’s trim and seems to be getting more ripped with each weight class he jumps to.

I noticed plant showing the ref his hand after the decision looked like they were examining his knuckles but I though it was his left

 

Rosado pretty clearly won against Jacobs and did better than Canelo at neutralising his strengths. He also didn't gas like Canelo did.
