Caleb Plant vs Alfredo Angulo likely for February 15th

I don't love the Gamboa fight, but he is light years better than Angulo. Gamboa still has hand speed, skills, and always turns up in phenomenal shape. Angulo is just way past it. I'm not sold that Plant is actually going to fight Angulo anyway. I'll believe it when it's announced.

 

Yep, I’m hoping this fight is just rumor because it’s a joke. Not much different than The Gambia fight. Plant is still relatively unknown among casual fans. Davis has a large social media following and should be able to get any opponent he wants. Picking Gamboa and making it sound like a legit fight is a complete joke. Gamboa is better than Angulo but there is a large gap between either fighter and a legit opponent. Gamboa is just a name at this stage and not even a legit gatekeeper. I hope it’s not the the type of opponent we can expect for Tank but suspect we will continue to see it because it’s a pattern from a guy with a big mouth who only fights bums and shot old guys these days. His fans will celebrate like he beat prime Gamboa from a decade ago.

 

This is about as tailor made a mismatch as possible, hopefully Angulo stay on his stool after 8 one-sided rounds
