Plant will have success because he's an excellent boxer with a very good jab, but his lack of power will be what does him in. I think Munguia forces a late stoppage somewhere around the 10th or 11th round. He's too relentless and Plant literally doesn't have enough firepower to keep Munguia off of him.
Bro idk.. I think Plant wins. Benavidez is way more relentless and fights all 12 rounds. Munguia took a lot of breaks against Ryder. But Munguia will probably prove me wrong again lol.
Plant doesn't respond well to that type of relentless pressure, he's a very good boxer but the lack of power is what sways me to Munguia favor. If Plant can punch as well as he can box I'd favor Plant, buttttttt...
@CST80 gotta get your take on this as someone who hates both guys lmao. But because Munguia won more recently and Plant has kinda fell off I feel like you’ll dislike Munguia more lol.
I did not see the Ryder fight. Munguia is reminiscent of Navarrette, all offense and blocks punches with their face. I think Munguia has been able to severely overcome his deficiencies with good match making though I think his last two wins were impressive. I think given Munguia's flaws I feel he is the type of fighter who I am going to pick against in a lot of important fights I think Ryder was made to order for Munguia but would be a hard task to overcome because he is a tough fighter but not one with much depth from a style standpoint. Plant I think has the speed, movement, boxing ability to make Munguia look clueless and get tagged. I don't think he has the stuff to lay Munguia out. I think this will be an interesting and competitive fight but Munguia seems to improve a little more each time and with new trainers. If Plant wins its close and the window might be closing as Munguia heads toward his prime and grows as a boxer and Plant just gets older
Good fight. Leaning towards the boxer here, I don't think Munguia is at the level of Benavidez. Plant by SD.
