Well put, I couldn't have said it better

 

Plants problem is his gameplan is all wrong for who he is. He's not some aggressive dude who excels at running out in the wild destroying people. He is just not good offensively and lacks the power to be successful with it. Canelo walked through him. Benavidez walked through him. Its gonna be the same story every time the other guy learns 'oh, Plant has speed and good defense, but he hits with pillows'.

He's the calm type who excels best at outboxing the other guy when he is on defense and IMO, he should be focusing himself to be the defense master who relies on good counterpunching that can deliver pop which he does have and making invaluable use of his speedy combinations.

 

Haha that is what Plant focuses on haven't you seen his dead boring fights, even the fight with Dirrell wasn't a blow out but i knew the judges will automatically award him the close rounds anyways, Defense is all he is known for, i don;t even see the guy pull out combinations at all, jab sucks, boring one two pit pat pouches while on the retreat man he is so basic.

 

I like this. It'd be a nice little redemption fight and gateway toward one more title run for the winner - and probably game over at that level for the loser.

 

Plant would outbox him to a UD.
