Id bet if Plant was of EE descent, alot of posters in this thread would be going on and on about how Plant is going to do a mayweather, yada yada. Smh

That video showed that Plant can't leave his jab and hands out there against Canelo. Gotta keep it tight and move. Straight punches, mix them up and move. Plant has the size and legs to give Canelo issues, he just has to look at Mayweather blueprint (even though it was ages ago) and fight the most disciplined fight of his life. I can't wait to see what strategy he brings with Ward's help. Do they go at slower starting Canelo early and then try to out maneuver him later? Can he take Canelo's punches, body shots? He'll be a better challenge than the last fraudster BJ.

 

He wasn't hurt at all but he's getting hit way too much. The problem with Plant is that he thinks he's slick but he's only slick for about 4-5 rounds. After that he's getting tired and slower and his opponents finding the target a lot more.

Clenelo will do the same stuff he did against Saunders. He will figure him out early on, might drop a few rounds to Plant but once Plant is slowing down and getting tired Clenelo will be right there in his face and beating the living crap out of him.

Clenelo stoppage between 8-12.

Getting hit like that in the video definitely hurts, op is correct, and if Plant leaves himself open like that Canelo will cut his other cheek when they fight.
