Caleb Truax looked great busting up Degale. What happened to Chunky?

Degale has showed glimpses in the past in fights where he could hang with anyone, but it is glimpses, never consistant. Heavy bag is what he looked like against Truax from the first really, whereas it was in spots in fights before. Degales done imo !

In simple terms it was a combination of De Gale taking his opponent too lightly mentally, not properely recovering from an operation and him being in too many wars and now severely on the slide.

Once he properely recovers from the operation and is more focused, it does not change the fact that his age and the ring wars have damaged him permanently.

I think DeGale is finished he looked Slow, tired, and totally clueless alomost looked like a novice getting beaten.

Shame as I thought he might be in for the winner of Groves / CEJ

Btw, DeGale could make a comeback but it likely wont happen.
He needs to give his body some serious rest. Hes been working hard since he was a kid. Take a year off from any serious training. Go for some runs, lift some light weights. And relearn the craft.
Start from 0 basically. But he needs to take a long break from serious training.

Fighters have done this and they came back in spectacular form.
DeGale at 31 still has time to make money.

Completely agree with this, very bad look for the person that's supposedly 1 or 2 at the weight to get beat up, in his own country by a person that's not even top 15 one division lower. SMW is officially a wasteland and is there for the taking
