Mildly interesting middleweight crossroads showdown this coming Friday night on something called "Bounce TV". Truax was last seen on the hurtful end of a TKO at the hands of Danny Jacobs in the final minute of a WBA 160lb title challenge. Guerrero (who early in their careers was often compared with Jacobs), has been knocked out twice in his last four contests, and struggled even in the W's over B-level competition that followed each loss. This could really go either way. The loser's basically done.
I really dig this matchmaking. Truax struggles with quick athletic boxers (Taylor, Jacobs). Guerrero struggles with heavy-handed guys that walk you down, ignore your flurries, and put it on you (Brewer, Lemieux)
This is likely to be a entertaining, s****py match. Truax is somewhat heavy handed, but needs you to have cement shoes on to land anything particularly devastating (Think Don George) He's certainly not the nuclear bomber than Lemiux is. I look at Truax as something of a glorified club fighter who has fought mostly at home and been the benefactor of some good luck because of it. Can't really have any higher an opinion on him when he struggled against the corpse of Matt Vanda
Truax is so awful to watch. I'd pay not to watch him fight. I'm rooting for Guerrero. I'd rather not see Truax again. Oh, didn't see the post above me. Sucks that it's cancelled; although, not a huge deal. Guerrero/Rosado wouldn't be bad.
