Don't think the Cotto- Molina fights been confirmed yet (I would be very surprised if it ever is).

I think it was announced on Twitter than he will likely face Delvin Rodrigurez on Oct 5th (with Freddie Roach in hos corner)- I belive my Todd duBoef

Cotto is becoming a real slut.

I'm reading Michael Oliveira (the guy a rusty, fat Popo Freitas emerged from a five year retirement climbing twenty pounds north of his last competing weight to knock out) is even in the mix. :patsch

Just checked HBO's website again for their July 27th card, and the heavyweight fight Andy Ruiz, Jr. versus Joe Hanks is NOT listed anymore. Looks like they're not airing it after all since the TV program lasts for two hours and they have three fights listed.

It may be on UniMas, however.

    HBO, you suck balls!

    :blood Odd choice.

This is exactly the sort of long sought-after match-up many say will help revive both the US boxing scene and the heavyweight picture (the nexus of which is thought capable of producing that holy grail meant to reinvigorate the sport and return it to glory: that most elusory cryptid, the great American hope...)

You have two young skilled unbeaten guys combining for better than a 2/3 KO quotient, putting it all on the line.

How is that not more than eminently suitable for broadcast?

If they only wanted to show a doubleheader with the pair of world title bouts, fine - but that isn't what's going to happen. They're going to blacklist Ruiz Jr. vs. Hanks and instead treat us to six rounds of Zou Shiming feather-dusting some agave-breathed nobody whose airfare will have eclipsed his entire sum career purses to date. :-(

HBO and Bob Arum/Top Rank are actually harming boxing as of late (e.g., the reluctance to support Guillermo Rigondeaux).

    Yeah. :verysad

They're making Showtime & GBP look awesome in comparison.

...and yeah, it appears that Hanks vs. Ruiz Jr. will be the Solo Boxeo main event...on like twelve hour tape delay! :patsch
