Got a cramp in my calf yesterday during some sparring drills and was wondering what you guys do to not get cramps? How much water should I drink everyday? during the training it was 1.5 minutes of pure offense and then 1.5 minutes of pure defense and during the defense part I was on the move alot. Using my legs and bobbing and weaving and then as the bell rang for the round to end a guy throws one more punch and as I move out of the way by pushing off my left foot, my calf gets stuck flexing pretty much and starts pulsing.

What do you guys do to prevent these? I have gotten one once before during sparring and I think it might have been just dehyration. Just wondering what you guys take on these was.

I think you need .5-1oz of water for every pound of bocy weight. And probably more if you are working out. You also need food with potassium in it. Eat lots of bananas.

Try stretching your calves and becoming more flexible.
