I was actually joking, but that's what most people are trying to say when they go on about aesthetics.
relentless dont even waste ur time. these "old school" guys think they no everting and will never admit weights are better. there just to ***** to do hard weight training like snatches and **** and hard cardio like HIIT burpees
Heh, theyre not better, certain training methods work for certain fighters man.. Burpees are hard as ****, and make me want to toss my stomach, but LONG roadwork gives you work ethic and that drive you need to overcome anything... They all have their perks in my opinion..
thats right. i like to run 3 miles and every once in a while i run 4 or 5, i find it beneficial, but that does not mean it works for everyone, a guy i train with has won national championship 3 times, this guy trains with very little intensity, he doesn't run either but the only time i see him work hard is sparring, it works for him.
Exactly, by saying HIIT and Weight Training are "better"... What it all comes down to, if you're training a certain way, and winning fights, you're doing fine as far as im concerned. Look what happened to Mosley when he started doing heavy lifting with Vargas 1...(It was a somewhat close fight) Than look at him in Vargas 2 where he used more of his older training techniques with his dad.. I also think the biggest advantage of roadwork, despite the stamina, leg endurance, and all... Would have to be the discipline and work ethic it helps you get, or maintain..
who says they dont do ight training? all they said was that u need to run. and they were saying it in a respectable manner. ur a complete waste of space on the forum.
You'd be surprised how many athletes have horrendous training programs. Lots of phoney experts out there, too.
no one is more of a warrior than tyson. I don't know what the **** you're talking about. you said tyson used weights? all he did were shrugs...holyfield uses ****ing machines and **** like that russian dude from rocky. younghypnotiq, SHUT YOUR ****ING MOUTH. you come on this forum with a new post every day asking what the best training methods are, you don't know ****. relentless, you are correct: different things work for different people. We should leave it at that because that clears up a lot of the quarrels on this forum.
this is exactly what I'm talking about. people have to stop using specific examples as if they illustrate general truths.
that may be the case now, but his old workout consisted of shitloads of push ups, sit ups, etc, with some shrugs for shoulder strength and endurance (I think it was 15 kg) Free weights are definitely not bad....it's just that too much heavy lifting will hamper skills. machines, however, have no practical benefit.
.............................................. The reason someone here would start off with, "Im a pro" is because it shows he walks the walk and his words have more merit because he is not just another guy going through the motions...he is a pro! Secondly, for the person that brought up energy systems, running is not about energy systems it is about leg conditioning like the pro said above. If you swim bike you are not getting used to handling your OWN bodyweight and your leg conditioning will suffer in the ring. Moving in the ring should be second nature NOT a thought process, therefore the more you do your conditioning on your own feet the better.
holyfield is more of a warrior than tyson ever will be, tyson is mentally weak, fought in a weak era, holyfield kicked his ass, and would have beat him when he was younger, holyfield is a 2 weight champion and 4 times heavyweight champion, you might not know what the **** i'm talking about but i do, i have been into boxing even before you learned to jack off, the cheese in my foreskin knows more boxing than you and your father ever will combined! you're lucky you are a little asian boy who knows **** or i would have really ripped you a new ******* and ****ed you through it while tattooing my name on your left butt cheek and stamping your right testicle with my grandfathers name. :hey :hey
