Initially this sounded pretty sexist, excluding males from the production based on their sex. But then I realised the world is craving another pioneering womyn feature, and this might just satisfy such hunger in the boxing fanbase. Unfortunately, the pool of competition in the 70s/80s was not incredibly deep like it is now, but that's because women were being emasculated in those times by an ignorant patriarchy that couldn't handle strong independent womyn with scarred faces and broken noses and halted menstrual cycles showing men that they didn't have to be damsels in distress any longer. I know, how cringe! Nevertheless, for that reason photos are rare and often those who own such precious collectibles refuse to part with them. The good news is that times have moved on and now female boxers are selling out stadiums and creating mega-fights. The wage gap is still a pressing issue, but quotas for more female promoters should help to provide female boxers equal salaries on male cards. Equal work, equal pay! It will be much easier to find photos of modern womyn fighters, especially on Insta or O Fans where they like to promote the sport by taking their clothes off. Feminists used to call that objectification, but now they call it Body Positive Careerism. You'll get all the material you need, though. Just one tiny critique, if you'll allow. How can you be pioneers when you didn't invent or develop the sport in any way? I think womyn participants is a better term. Best of luck! =/=
