When you find yourself giving EVERY close round to one fighter, you know you're not an impartial judge of the fight.

I personally saw five very clear cut rounds for Mikkel Kessler and one clear cut round for Froch - that leaves six "close" rounds. Give them three each for all I care, you've still got a 116-112 fight. Anyone calling robbery in this case just doesn't understand round by round point scoring.

Froch landed arguably the bigger shots of the night, but he did it sporadically.

The right man got the decision - my personal card was 116-112, 117-111 is fine in my view too.

  2. kessler beat froch just as much as froch beat himself he doesn't listen to his corner what so ever he just goes looking for a tear-up and uses his face as his defence i had kessler up by three rounds, kessler stood up to everything froch threw at him and fired right back i just wonder how much the fight has taken out of both men and lucky allen green could possibly end up unifying both the wba and wbc titles in his next two fights thats the beuty of the super six...........and what the **** was peter schmichael doing the interviewing for completely cringeworthy stuff he should stick to football

Kessler won a close fight but he's definitely declined.

Great fight. I had Kessler by a point.

It's nice to see a good fight once in a while, where the guys come to fight. Not none of this running away, jumping on the canvas or turning the back when the opponent's coming on, or acting like you've been knocked out cold and convulsing from a grazing half-powered punch to get out of the fight.

Props to both fighters. True warriors, men's men.

I saw it the same way... not sure how can you win rounds by impersonating Arthur Abraham... ah, it's cold cagey boxing in English, right? :patsch

Slap your head all you want - Froch had ONE round where he outscored Kessler in punch stats, every other round, Kessler landed more punches.

The clear cut rounds that Kessler won were so clear cut that it wasn't funny - do you dispute there were five of these? If so, get your eyes checked.

On the basis of who landed more shots, who looked like they could actually defend the other fighter during closer rounds, I'm quite happy to give 4 out of 6 close rounds to Kessler - Froch has no one but himself to blame, did he show a great chin and great heart? Yes.. Did he show a boxing technique that is condusive to winning decisions? No.

This post is dead on... If Froch's own coach is telling him that he's loosing that probably means that he is actually f'cking loosing the fight... Froch hit a lot of air and a landed a lot on the gloves of Kessler. Not something you see if you're watching a sloppy stream.

The right guy won in a hell of a tear up.

Scoring punches are those landed on specific parts of the body, winging punches onto your opponents shoulders and neck and drawing oo's and ahh's from a partisan but unknowlegable crowd means ****.
Froch landed the cleaner more effective punche's.

I know. It's a ****ing disgrace. The commentators we get in Denmark don't know **** about boxing and we still have to pay 50 pounds for the fight...

Froch needed a KO after round 7 imo..Tileman needs banning from the sport. I was cheering for Carl but Kessler fought like a f*cking warrior..backed Carl up most of the night. Kes deserves the win, simple as that. Showed very big heart tonight.

Two scores were an absolute farce. Pathetic.

I thought Froch was the stronger and better man. But, I can see Kessler winning something like 115-113 or so. It was close. I did not do round by round scoring, so can't give a number.

You knew Kessler would get the decision in Denmark and with the Sauerland fighters falling apart in a tournament that was meant to showcase them.

I'm a fan of Kessler, but I dont think he should have won this bout and I think he is on the downside.

That scorecard was lame, but Kessler won by at least to rounds. I had it 116-112.

Wow, did you have a laptop in your dressing room Carl? I didn't think you'd be on here so soon!
