I don't see Algeri stopping Pacquiao, but I can envision him outboxing him, keeping his distance and using his superior length to his advantage.

Algeri is definitely solid. Very technically sound and well rounded.....he didn't deserve a shot at PAC but he is a worthy opponent....Provo is a tough fighter and he got the upset.....but he is not a name that's worthy of PPV... It would be like Floyd vs Algeri....just not a good opponent for one of the two marquee attractions in the sport. Algeri won't roll over but he will take some major punishment for his efforts.....can he win? Sure.....Salka had a shot to KO Garcia too.

 

the style of Chris is not to Pac's liking, that much is true. but he doesn't have the power to even hurt Pac, let alone knock him out.

At first I gave Algieri the nod on a boxing match but I have since changed my mind after watching Pac and Rios back to back. I think that Pac is gonna slow it down a notch and actually out box Algieri. That longer than expected lead left and that right hook is gonna set Algieri on fire. Plus Pac has excellent footwork and knows how to use it, but the bottom line is that Pac is too seasoned for Agieri. Algieri has the tools but he just doesn't have the ring wisdom to use them effectively against Pac. Pac by UD or stoppage.
