Canelo is not a monster and i think his defense is actually being underrated by most due to the Hatton fight in which he showed good defense the first few rounds then after tasting Hattons power and crab like style of fighting he disregarded defense and just tried to KO Hatton.

I want to see Canelo with someone who will pressure him. It seems his last 3 fights have been against guys who are kind of awkward and dont want to fight.

Molina would be a good one IMO.

I'm not real big on Alvarez, I agree hes pretty overrated but honestly, the only guy on the list I'd feel really comfortable picking over Alvarez is Angulo.

That guy has been inactive for who knows how long, people mention angulo like he's some kinda beast but got tamed by a semi-game cintron. 154 is NOT a strong division right now,Lara is getting some ridiculous overrating around here lately, simply put this guy is nothing special,Wollak is a straight up brawler that makes for some good action fights but not extraordinary either.I would pick Canelo over anybody at 154 right now with Austin Trout being the only one giving Canelo some problems, Williams is done and there is no need including cotto or margarito right now as we dont know how mangled these two will come out of their rematch.

HIm vs. a good., solid pressure fighter wouls be a step in the right direction. I don't see him fighting any other top JrMW just yet, but we'll see. I never mind being proven wrong by fighters.

Many Mexican teens at 15-16 become pros and start fighting men. Think of it as learning on the job type of deal. We have seen the best of the current 154lbers we have not seen the best of Canelo. 1 or 2 yrs we should see how good or great he can be. I like how he is training with Golovkin who is boxings best kept secret. There could not be a better sparring partner. Had he struggled with Rhodes you could say hes a fluke, but Canelo looked great. Better than ever.
