Call me crazy but Froch vs Groves reminds me of...

    Danny Garcia vs Lucas Matthysse

    The technically more gifted of the two (Garcia/Groves) who has better movement, faster hands, jab etc. is being picked to get destroyed by the tougher and bigger punching favorite (Matthysse/Froch), I honestly think it could play out looking quite similar to the fight between Garcia and Lucas.

    Groves will frustrate Froch with his jab and using his superior movement will create angles to let combinations go, Froch comes on too square and his feet cross each other, he'll be walking into hard shots from the off, relying on his granite chin in the belief that all he has to do is land one big shot and the fight will be over.

    I see Groves boxing off the backfoot early, frustrating Froch as I said, Froch thinks he's so high above Groves that he will panic when he realizes he is behind after 6/7 rounds and get desperate looking for one big shot, making mistakes as he does so and walking into more shots, Groves' chin will pass the test.

    Groves wins by competitive but clear UD (although a late stoppage honestly wouldn't surprise me)

    The doped up hypejob yank (Garcia) 'won' by using typical yank tactics: low-blows/elbows, loads of running and having bribed ref and judges. Lucas still should've gotten the UD by 2-3 points, but not in scummy yankeeville....

    Nope, nothing alike. Groves has never beaten anyone at world level the closest being an already retired corpse of Glen Johnson. Also Groves isn't a World Champion.

    Garcia on the other hand before the Lucas fight had already beaten Holt,Morales, Khan and Judah, been a World Champion and defended it twice and in his own opinion faced better boxers than Lucas. (that is debatable but i get his point)

    Garcia has a much better chin/punch resistance than Groves does, if he was as shaky as Groves is he would have been stopped by Lucas as Lucas caught him with some good shots.

    Groves isn't an Andre Ward, he won't outbox Froch for the 12 and he isn't Kessler like tough to out brawl Froch and take the punishment for the 12 rounds. Its pretty much a mismatch with Groves getting brutally stopped inside 6 rounds.

    Froch is a far better boxer than he gets credit for. and Groves is no where near as good a boxer as some of the people that have out boxed Froch before.

    Hearn's promoting seems to have worked. I can't believe they amount of people who have this fight as 50/50 or Groves as favorite.

    It is like both the careers of Froch and Groves i have watched didn't happen and something else has happened in the last 6 years like Groves being a multiple time champion with numerous wins at world level and a solid chin.

    When has Groves ever shown a "glass jaw" he didn't exactly get floored by Anderson did he? he got buzzed by a shot whilst swinging back and his own momentum took him down to one knee more than anything, he got back up straight away and went on to stop Anderson 3 rounds later.

    He may have got knocked out as an amateur, but Froch got destroyed by Braehmer in the ams too.

    i agree with you i think the beef between the two is selling the fight more than anything though. but there does seem to be a lot of people on here that fancy a Groves win but i dont think he can win.

    Its not Glass but its fragile, i saw similar in Bute before the Froch fight. Froch smells blood and will go for the Kill. Can Groves handle Froch?, i don't think so.

    im hoping groves wins, he is the underdog for obv reasons, but every fighter has to make the big step at some point to see whether there world class and this will be georges, so only saturday we will see.
