I don't think he wants anything to do with GGG, honestly. But, I do think he will defend that belt at MSG this year.

I didn't say anything about power.
GGG will OUT BOX Cotto and hurt him...bad.
Golovkin has boxing skills and the ability to set up and LAND power punches. Cotto would not be able to take 12 rounds of that.

Not at all. Cotto/roach don't want that fight. GGG would be too much weight/power wise for Cotto.

It was common knowledge going into the Martinez fight that Sergio was suffering from knee injuries sustained in the Chavez Jr fight and was evident in the Martin Murray fight

Cotto took his chance and was able to beat a crippled Martinez eventually in the 7th round (any real middleweight would have got him out much sooner) but since then Cotto showed no desire to fight a full fledged 160 fighter flirting with the idea of a Canelo bout . . . . which backfired due to Canelo's ego wanting to compete with Mayweather on May 2nd.

If Cotto does fight GGG (who has been given a mandatory ranking despite holding the WBA title) then it will be obvious that Cotto is cashing out if he doesnt choose to vacate, although there are rumours in the Mayweather camp of a rematch.

Personally I dont believe Mayweather will take Cotto on, if he does he will have the added pressure of fighting Golovkin seeing as he would be competing at Middleweight and niether Cotto or Floyd belong anywhere north of 154.

Id rather see GGG fight the winner of Quillin/Lee but Quillins already vacated his title once to avoid Golovkin stating that he isnt a big draw . . . . despite GGG selling out his last fight and turning in over 1mil ppv buys.

If Cotto-GGG happens its for nothing more than a psuedo lineal title, Cotto has no business at middleweight

Hardly any of GGG's opponents have stood still. Have you actually
watched the fights? Also, and I know this is outside the subject of
boxing, but do you think it's cool not to go to school? You write,
spell, punctuate and makes sentences and paragraphs like some-
one who's never had ANY formal schooling. I'd be surprised if you
had anything past an 8th grade reading comprehension. Affirmative
    action doesn't work my man.

Though Cotto has known to be a diva regarding his demands, I will say that, win or lose, he has fought everone...

    Paulie
    Zab
    Mosley
    Margarito
    Pacquaio
    Clottey
    Mayorga
    Floyd
Trout (npot calling hiom a world beater but decent and was undefeated at the time)
    Martinez

So if he doesn't fight GGG for money reasosn at this point in his career, its all good ....However, I can say for certain that he is a warrior who fears no fighter.

Not at all. As fans we can care less about what fighters earn, risk vs reward, etc... But this is a busines, not about proving how tough you are at this point in his career. He is trying to maximize as much as he can before he gracefully bows out the game.

When he fough Margarito, he was the most feared guy at the weight class and he had no issues fighting him.

When he fought Manny, he had just retired both ODLH and Hatton, and still Cotto had no issues fighting him

Clottey, though not a P4P was a rugged ww, who didnt have many peopel knocking down the door to fight him .. and still Cotto fought him after Margarito (1 fight in between)

If the reward is worth the risk, he will fight GGG.
