...but I honestly believe Wright-Hopkins is going to be a very good fight. Seems like a lot of people are expecting this to be a boring fight based on Hopkins-Taylor and Hopkins-Tarver. What they are failing to realize is that all 3 of those fighters are counter puncher's by nature, or at least for the most part. Winky may be defensive minded, but he always comes forward pressing the action. He has the style that will make Hopkins fight. Hops will have to throw more than his usual 20 punches per round, or like the Taylor fights, lose on activity alone. I see these two styles meshing really well, and feel they will make for a crowd pleasing fight. I also believe Winky, though not nearly shot, is slipping just a tad and because of that Hopkins may be able to penetrate his guard easier than would have been the case in previous years. Still, in the end, I like Winky by close decision, maybe split or majority. :bbb
I agree I think it will be a good fight as well. People thought Winky-Taylor was going to be boring but it turned out to be one of the best fights of 2006.
I agree with you. I think the fight will be better than many think; especially the second half of the fight when B-Hop gets going. There likely won't be any knockdowns, but there should be plenty of action.
Exactly man. That fight was so good because you didn't have two counter punchers, waiting for the other to take the lead so he could capitalize on it. It had a lot to do with Winky pressing the action.
