Yeah. Bute comes off as a fighter you just fall in love with but the guy hasn't had the challenges to prove he's the best @ SMW. I am also a Donaire fan but does he really deserve to be high on P4P lists? I don't think so but he too has potential to get there.

im sure bute was offered the chance to come in as a replacement, but he wanted to stay away from the super six it seems.

doesnt impress until he fights one of the super six dropout and wins big,or fights the winner of it all.

Ranking someone isn't just about resume...a lot of people are saying : ''The people in the Super Six are fighting far better opposition than Bute''....I agree, but think about it ; There are nobody else to fight outside the S6 !!!!!!!! There was Green (and there was talk on a Bute-Green fight that didn't go well), but Green went into the S6, there was Bika, a guy who has already lost to Bute, who else ? Stieglitz or Sartison ? Two german based boxers who won't come near Bute...Pavlik ? He was supposed to fight Bute after beating Martinez...well that went the wrong way...Andrade ? beat him twice...Miranda ? Beated more easily than Abraham and Ward that ARE in the S6...Zuniga ? beat him faster than anyone else... WHO ELSE IS THERE ? I only see Balzsay or Gutknecht, and if Bute beats them ? The S6 opposition is still superior !!!!!!!

So stop whinning about resume and see the qualities of boxers : Knock Out Power, Hand Speed, Footwork, Willpower, etc.

And there is some wierd guy who put Abraham over Dirrell is his ranking ??? Didn't you see there fight ? I mean the one sided fight ? I don't know, maybe you saw something in his next fight that proved this was a fluke ??? Wait...did you see the Abraham-Froch fight ? the one where Abraham look like a Turtle all night long ? I'm not a Dirrell fan and I'm actually a King Arthur fan, but COME ON !!!!!!!

To finish I want to talk about p4p rankings...I can see why people puts Bute in them, as I could see why Ward would be in it, they see the BIG PICTURE...not just the resume, but HOW their fights are won...Bute destroying Miranda in 3, when Ward made the limit, and Abraham made the limit once and KOed him in 4 the second time...I don't say it is proof, but an item or measurement.....Kind of Ward winning a one sided fight against Kessler (The top dog at 168 at the time). He did it more badly than Calzaghe, and you know Calzaghe deserved the no.3 p4p spot after that win....

And one last thing, I know some people will read me and think :''What the **** is he talking about, another fuc*ing Bute fan who doesn't know anything''....Well to these people I say ; REFUTE ME, PROVE ME WRONG !!!

    With respect, God_Pepsi

Just to be clear, it is not that he wanted to stay away, but he wanted to clear the contreversy from his first fight with Andrade, well...mission accomplished !!!

Would have loved to see this. Balzsay and Steiglitz are both better than Green though (skill and resume)

If your gonna talk like that and anyone can do it :yep Froch beat Sergey Tatevosyan http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=14313&cat=boxer In 2 Rounds, 2months after he went 12 rounds with Bute.

At the End of the day Bute needs to prove himself, I like Bute's skills but until he stops fighting in his home town and tests himself he should'nt be ranked higher.

Let's explain things. When the super six began, Bute was already a top 3, even number 1 on many lists. Kessler had been out for a while, after his loss to Calzaghe. He came back against ok but not top opposition. Abraham was not a 168 pounds fighter. Dirrell was not even in the top 10. Ward was something like 8th after his win against Miranda. Taylor had already lost to Froch in his second SMW fight. Froch had won against Pascal (who was green at the time) and Taylor (but was losing on points when he ko'd him).

Bute was top 3 without a doubt, and, I repeat, number one on half of the rankings.

For Bute to go down, he needed to lose, or the others needed to win bigger fights. Froch won against Dirrell (who was 11th I repeat) with difficulty. That made him go down compared to Bute, who destroyed Andrade (who was top 6 at the time). Kessler lost to Ward. If you lose, you go down. Taylor: well, he's gone. That leaves Abraham and Ward, who had one single big fight.

Then, Abraham loses, Froch loses, and Ward faces Allan Green. In the mean time, Bute wins against Miranda. Not the greatest win but with fashion. How can Bute go down compared to the super 6 fighters when almost all of them lost?

I said multiple times that Bute would go down when some of the super 6 fighters would collect bigger wins than he would. I think it is the situation now. Froch earned one of the 2 first spots (probably the first one). Ward's situation hasn't changed much since his win against Kessler: Green and Bika don't make his resume much stronger compared to Bute's, but let's say he's number 2. Abraham took a dive because of his 2 losses, Kessler is not coming back soon and won't keep his place for very long. Dirrell has one win and one loss in the super 6 and is out of the competition.

I still believe Bute is the best of all but he has to prove it, which should come soon.
So, Froch, Ward and Bute. That's for today.

Well, do it right then. Bute was wearing pillows to heal a hand injury and Tatevosyan was still affected by the beating he took from him. In addition, Tatevosyan had 3 weeks to prepare himself to fight Froch.

Less impressive that way, isn't it?

Tatevosyan also took that fight on 3 weeks notice and Pirog beat him in what was his 4th pro fight in 2006 before both Froch and Bute. your point?
