Calling all Pacquiao-Haters!!!: I ask, why?

If this is the first time i've read a post from you i might believe you.. but nah... i've read so many bull**** from you and on how you underrate almost all of pac's achievements for me to be convinced by this. :deal

 

actually, i have no problem with PacD. he seems a nice guy/family man and sincere in his posts. he somewhat stretches his expectations from pacquiao but it's all good. he realizes his mistakes when a fight happened. he just want's proof of fights and not swayed by the popular opinion. he is turning from a pac fan to a good boxing fan. he regularly watches fights and study matches. he is a quite arrogant but it is who he is and he is admittedly that. he seldoms badmouth people who are jumping on him and that's nice for me.

 

Actually pac nuthuggers and haters are just the same. You can see them in every pac related threads battling it out... both are "*******s" really...

 

i think he is much more arrogant, unless you haven't seen some of his post here... that thing about him is when he brags out loud like he is the one that accomplish things. And i think he does realize his mistakes but would never admit it, and would instead run away. But there are times he is rude and harsh..and thats what annoys me, i don't wan't such a guy to represent pac. Pac is a nice and kind humble person and someone like pacD doesn't deserve to be called no.1 pac fan around here when what he does is imo put a dent in pac's image

 

well i have seen him here since more than a year ago. he is arrogant in dealing with others because it's his perspective. he even suggested to us here that pinoys should not always be humble. that if you would want to survive in life you should be like that. it's his perspective in life.

to put a dent on pac's image because of his fans is really a pathetic excuse to hate on pac. those people have no firm control on their own mind to be swayed by someone to like or dislike a fighter.

 

Arrogance doesn't mean maliciousness and name calling. You can be arrogant without resorting to such things. Amsterdam is arrogant and calls people names all the time and you guys dislike him for it. You don't say "it's just his perspective on life" right? PacD is no different really.....he just happens to be an elitest and arrogant about a fighter you like.

 

yes. pacD's arrogance stems from the fact that he always toot his own horn when he gets a prediction and whenever pac wins he feels that it was his own accomplishment.

actually, i don't dislike amsterdam. he is quite a character here and a solid poster. i am not offended by his remarks against pac or pacfans. but i could not say the same to other fans here.

 

PacD's arrogance is easy to deal with since really, he quite often contradicts himself or forgets things he's said. It's easy to put him in his place if one wants to take the time to do so.

It's the name calling and disrespect of other fighters that causes the uproar. His dismissal of boxing history and the fighters who have built it, and understanding the context of their accomplishments. The inability to admit wrongdoing is icing on the cake really.

 

i don't hate pac, and does neither of all or most people here..nobody hates pac imo i've came to this conclusion after browsing this thread reading all pages. Did he really said that to pinoys? Is he changing what pinoys should be because pinoys are known to be humble and hospitable, he must have had such a SAD LIFE for him to say that in order to survive. We know its not right not to be humble, we shouldn't follow such example. PacD is not the leader of the pacfans

 

and i noticed that you are the only one who has the patience to do this. others would simply label him delusional, arrogant or ignorant.

he is guilty of this sometimes but to put in perspective, a lot would simply pick against pac in any classical matchup. this is really expected but some also disrespects pacquiao and his accomplishments by saying that pac would be blasted by gomez or sanchez within 4 rounds which imo is hard for even those two greats to do.

pacD, i understand doesn't get swayed by opinions of posters in ESB. he believes that we are on the same boat in terms of knowledge and would prefer to quote boxing writers. when a poster here (john garfield) introduced himself as a former fighter that sparred with pep and is now a boxing writer suggested that pac would find it hard to get to pep, pacD still gives him props and didn't dismiss that folk's opinion. imo, he prefers legit boxing writers opinons.

 

yes, i remember him saying this in the vernacular. he said this when some pac fan (pinoy i assume) scolded them about not being arrogant and be humble since pac is a humble guy. imo, he did have a hard life. he even mentioned that he was once an illegal immigrant in america. these things really can change someone's perspective.

 

I am not talking about disrespect of that nature. Anyone can pick against anyone in a fantasy matchup. Its all opinion based. I am talking about actual downplaying of what a fighter actually accomplished. Sometimes he does it and doesn't even know who the fighter is or anything about the fighter. But he won't admit that.

He only prefers legit boxing writers opinions who agree with him. Case and point. When everyone was discussing "the greatest Asian fighter ever", I posted an article from Philboxing.com that was reporting the results of a poll on the greatest Pinoy fighters ever. The poll itself was made from a panel of Filipino boxing writers and historians. It listed Elorde as the greatest Pinoy fighter ever. PacD said the article didn't matter because you can't trust Philboxing.com and that the particular writer was considered bad in the Phillipines. Now how many articles has he posted from that very site? On top of this, the site wasn't giving an opinion in the first place, just reporting the results of the poll. On another occasion he dismissed Cyberboxingzone.com as not a legit site because it didn't agree with him.

Point is, if he was consistant, it wouldn't be a big deal. He isn't and he knows it. He hides or changes the subject when instead of saying, "ok I made a mistake". Once in a debate he used boxrec's rankings to show that a fighter wasn't any good. I told him boxrecs ranking system was faulty and computer generated. He said that it proved his point and he would take that website over my opinion. I then pointed out to him that that website had Pacquiao rated something like #8 P4P at the time based on it's criteria and he said that he never said it was entirely accurate and then changed the subject.

Basically, he needs to learn some humility. You like him, fair enough. It may be "just the way he is" and thats fine too. But people don't have to like "just the way he is". And he will probably continue to get ridiculed for it.

 

thats also a thing, why is it not ok to admit mistakes in an internet forum? Too much pride? He would never ever admit his mistakes, you can quote me on this, he would never ever learn humility. He can keep his own perspective...nobody agrees with him anyway
