:huh What's the point of this thread? You're right in that Ali lost the FOTC. :nono However, that loss contributed to his legend. :think Ali was not this unbeatable, unstoppable perfect fighter when he went up against Forman. Who many believe was a monster that would seriously hurt Ali. Because of that loss to Frazier, Ali's win over Forman truly shook up the world. :!: You see, Ali was stripped, jailed, banned and beaten. :bbb He literally was felled by a left hook from hell. :-( Everyone thought he was done. Nope. He resurrected himself and reclaimed his title as the champ. :bart There is no shame in his loss to Frazier. It was a springboard to greatness.

A little twit like you can't understand why Ali is beloved world wide. :rofl Little men like you trying to poke holes in the legend of real men amuses me.

I loved the narcissistic Ali getting his ass kicked. Sue me.

His words towards Frazier were the epitome of classless.

He talked a big game. And then Frazier gave him that work and just leveled him all night.

The Greatest was soundly beaten and hurt.

He didn't walk off the streets. He fought a couple times to shake off the rust.

Pipino Cuevas was 24 when he was completely done. Age is not the measure.
Moreover, Frazier was looking very impressive after the Foreman fight, and on fight night against Ali. The conditioning and grit of both men were great.
No harm losing to one of the best ever, Foreman, who Ali also beat.

'shake off the ring rust' as if its nothing..:patsch
Besides, Ali of the 60's was notably sharper than after the three years.

It was a great fight there was no "outclassing" at all, Frazier deserved to win.
That was a prime Frazier, Ali coming off nearly a 4 year lay off with just 2 fights and slowed down fought a helluva fight.
Frazier was never the same after that fight and Ali did beat him twice.
Oh and there was the little matter of he beat Frazier's destroyer.

Ali won like 3 or 4 of 15 rounds. And Frazier knocked him down.

If that's not an outlcassing then what constitutes on outlcassing?

Pacquiaos not the greatest and never called himself the greatest.

Ali had the audacity to do that and insult Frazier ad well.

    Then he got beat up.

Cecil, isn't there something sinister about not only talking about a fight, but how Ali talked about his foes...and Ali isn't even buried yet? Then when you see who started the thread, then you know it's an attempt to belittle a dead man. Talking about the fight is one thing, but talking about his comments while he is dead is just down right pathetic.
