Enzo's opponent then STILL undecided as Rob Calloway has posted on boxrec saying that he wasnt going to take the Enzo fight on such short notice.

Hopefully Warren will run out of opponents to match him with and we'll get to see the fight the fans want Ding vs Enzo.

    Or...

Warren could do what he's been doing for 20years and we'll see Enzo in the ring on Nov3 with someone like Ray Mercer or Bobby Gunn rematch.:patsch

Ding would lay out Enzo and he knows it, Ding should be going against guys that our in his league like Bell, Mormeck, and Haye. Ding has the chin and pop to give any one trouble at cruiser IMO.

Calloway is turning the fight down because it's short notice and also probably because Warren asked for a crazy amount of options. Like he pretty much always does.

Yeah, but at 38 you can't expect the champ to come to your

hometown. You have to step up and take the opportunity because its

likely not to return anytime soon. In Rob's case(38yo), time is of the

essence, especially while he's been active and on a roll.:good

Wasn't Calloway publicly calling out Enzo like a week ago? If you're a C+ level fighter at the end of his career, you don't just turn down a title shot because the money is bad or the other promoter has options, unless you seriously think the other fighter could end your career and halt your earning potential. I could see Calloway being one of those types who continues to fight D level opponents and prospects for the next 7 or 8 years after 1 more big fight (a la Buck Smith), but I think only the WBO ranks him, so I'm a bit surprised that he turned down the biggest fight he was going to get there.

Less than two weeks to go.

Would you still take the fight (of course assuming that the money is right)?

I have to assume Ding's been training for it. He knows there are limited options. As I see it, there are only about 5 potential opponents left, unless they want to cancel the fight or make it a non-title fight. WBO top 15:

1 Marco Huck GER - Mandatory for IBF, has another fight scheduled
2 David Haye GB - Scheduled fight with Mormeck
3 Johnathon Banks (NABO) USA - Not currently training
4 Vincenzo Cantatore ITA - TBA announced for December; probably too far off to already be in training
5 Gregory Drozd (Asia-Pacific) RUS - Already has a fight scheduled with a real opponent
    6 Giacobbe Fragomeni ITA - ??
    7
Darnell Wilson USA - Ready and waiting
8 Herbie Hide GB - Like Universum would stick him in with a puncher
9 O'Neil Bell USA - Not in training
    10 Alexander Alexeev (Int-Cont) RUS - ??
    11
Alexander Gurov UKR - Might be a viable option; training for the omnipresent TBA
    12 Rudolf Kraj CZE - ??
13 Rob Calloway USA - Refused fight
14 Wayne Braithwaite GUY - Already beat him recently
15 Vadim Tokarev RUS - Also dangerous, but did fight a few weeks ago and won by early KO, so might be ready
