    Round 11

Ryder is roughing Smith up on the ropes and reducing him to wide panicked slaps to get free of the ropes. Overhand lefts by Ryder, strapping the jaw of Smith, and high right hooks doubled up as Smith beats a retreat. Smith gets shoulder-tackled into the ropes, sapping his wind as he tries in vain to either gather Ryder into a time-frittering clinch or slide along the ropes to propel himself to freedom. Ryder is chasing Smith down, rocking him with those soaring lefts and whipping that right hook around the other side to cut off Smith's escape. Big sloppy right hands by Smith, bouncing off the upper back of Ryder as he rolls in throwing bombs.

    10-9 Ryder

    107-102 Ryder

Andy Lee has Smith up 105-104, "all hanging in the balance".

You might end up having it slightly wider than I, and I had it 117-111. Yes, it was THAT BRUTAL a robbery.

    Round 12

Ryder is starting out with that same aggression from round eleven, drowning Smith and piercing him with right jabs & hooks downstairs and big axing lefts up top. Smith is winging left hooks up at head level, causing Ryder to bow in low to duck them, with Smith then leaving his left arm snaking across the backside hoping to clinch. Ryder shakes loose and keeps pounding away, driving through Smith's desperate jabs and chops. Smith turning his back and getting pushed up against the ropes face-first. The ref breaking them every few seconds now, Smith clinching like crazy. Ryder beating him down. Smith fighting on fumes, missing badly.

    10-9 Ryder

    117-111 Ryder

This was two fights, really. A six round draw (in which every round was close) and then a six round shutout (in which none were).

Do we know what nine rounds O'Connor gave Smith? Not that it matters, because there weren't nine in there for him. Just curious what the hell was going on in his mind, and want to see if any sense can be made of that score.

One more note: this didn't even have the silver lining of being a good fight. Most of it wasn't enjoyable to watch in the least, and that isn't just because I had foreknowledge of the result (and that it was probably an unfair one, in favor of someone I dislike against someone I do).

Having seen a dozen Gorilla fights, this was by far the least aesthetically pleasing and the one I have the least desire to ever watch again. Mundo's style is basura.

I did take immense joy in watching it live, since I'd been saying for weeks that Ryder would going to beat his ass, and when I heard them read that 117-111 card, I actually allowed myself to get somewhat excited, because I knew there was no way in hell they'd ever blatantly rob Ryder that badly..... and then they did just that.:xqw

British boxing is totally corrupt. It was more than just terry o Connor. Andy Lee was in on it too. So was the promoter etc etc. Andy was scoring halfway correctly up to about the middle of the fight. At the very point the fight swung towards Ryder Andy swung toward smith. magically around the 7th he totally u-turns and gave almost everything to smith. Someone had a word in his ear...Andy wants more of that commentary work in future so he played ball....

I'm happy for anyone who tries. It's better than not trying, even if you fail it's better than not even trying. The very least someone should do is to try. Please don't insult someone for that.

I had it 116-112 to Ryder. My scorecard

    1. Smith
    2. Ryder
    3. Ryder
    4. Smith
    5. Ryder
    6. Smith

    7. Ryder
    8. Ryder
    9. Smith
    10. Ryder
    11. Ryder
    12. Ryder

I agree that the first 6 rounds were nip and tuck and the final 6 rounds were all Ryder. Smith only narrowly won round 9 on my card.

If you look here where people post there own cards there are alot of 116-112 type cards: https://eyeonthering.com/boxing/callum-smith-vs-john-ryder

Lol anyone who gave Smith the 12th round has rocks in their head. That was the easiest round to score in the fight, a 5 year old could tell you that Ryder won that round.
