Bit of an odd one.. Be a good gauge fight maybe though. Maybe it's building towards Bivol? Barrera being a common opponent...

I'm leaning toward Smith serving up Barrera his 2nd loss by way of knockout. Barrera is no bum however and will put Smith to the test in a competitive fight which has the potential to bring out the best in both men. Hope this fight gets made.

 

This would be one of those instances where we would see Smith fight at his absolute best as he does have a tendency to fight up to or down to his opponents level. Could actually see Smith winning by stoppage at 168 as he would focus heavily on the body given Barrera will have to drain down quite drastically to make 168 as he's a bit of a specimen himself.

Smiths body attack is right up there with the best in boxing right now, plus he's a lot fresher and has a significant reach advantage to go with his decent jab. At 175, I'd still favour Smith but only just. Really hope it happens. Would be a big statement of intent and put everyone at 168 and 175 on notice.

 

Same. Johnson has a good amateur background whereas Joe Smith is just a bent nosed tough guy.
