Never mind that. I have a question for you Joe and I would love to hear your view. Name your top five boxing trainers in the UK today (excluding your good self)?
Ingles , ShinField , Everett , erol johnson , oliver harrison , jon pegg not all about champions but work trainers put in year in year out that keep the sport going with kids from nothing easy be a so called top trainor with a household promoter giving u quality ams and pros , but people like ingles , brian hughes , enzo calzaghe and my mentor late phil Martin who have done it with lads from scratch time and time again , i am very proud with the 2 murrays one who upto now is no 2 WBC the other a world bronze medalist and olympian 2 differant styles i love and pray one wins a world title to have that feeling like some of the above have like brendan taking naz junior johnny from scratch to the pinnacl must be a fantastic feeling !
A very open and honest post Joe...:yep Very humble in your appreciation of the trainers who give the sport the back bone...:yep Love the Murray poster...:good
What is a typical day in the life at the gym like joe? Its sounds hectic having so many fighters all at different stages of training at one time or other
ITS BRILLIANT people on hear saying this and that (no pads spread to thin )how they know they not there and people be leaving not joining ! I was in gym last night with my 17 year old amateur having 1 on 1 with him b4 his jnr ABA fight who is going to be a great addition to the pros very soon. all i am doing is my job i am not saying i best trainer around or that i know it all i just training fighters to win fights , i have always said i not in the business to make friends just do my job and win fights and titles and if along the way we build relationships with people then fine but my priority is to train fighters and do the best that i can do for them and if that is trying to get them more profile in papers etc will do John Murray is only now beginning to get press etc and that is from Joining Frank Warren so no need to do that for John no more and every fighter has a scrap book that they want to show there kids grandkids in years to come the career is very short so make hay while sun shines ! as Take That would say "never forget were u come from because one day this will be somebody elses dream "at the moment its my dream .
no reference to tibbs or our man billy nelson ? in my opinion gallagher is an egoistic twwat the reason i say that is he proclaims his own gym the wild card of britain when his fighters win he comes on the forums bigging them up and then backs himself up with the TROLL NAME OF ( CURRY ) how many more troll names does he use going back to the 1-1 coaching jaffa left him for that exact reason gallagher didn't spend enough time with him so jaffa left :thumbsup
i take your point dunk but that's not because he changed trainers that's down to jaffa not being as good as we all thought when he turned over
he looked very impressive in his 4-5 fights with Gallager. He has the best pro debut of the Olympians.
