    Solid but not spectacular.

    Hope he is OK

Good, exciting fighter but never lived up to his potential

Most probably through no fault of his own

This was complete inevitable sadly, don't think he had any choice at this point.

He carried incredible power that would trouble a lot of heavyweights at a certain level, let alone fighters in his own division- displayed in sparring more often than in actual fights sadly.

I think his career ending up the way it did is down to several factors and we'll probably never known which was the most prominent but he had awful luck (catching covid-19 weeks before the Joe Smith Jnr fight), a coach who did not always advice him well (Gallagher), terrible injury problems, and a questionable attitude at times. When you add all of that together it's really no surprise he never fulfilled his potential.

I would have loved to have seen him fight Buatsi or Yarde, sadly never happened.

I agree those quotes from him strike me as odd and possibly a bit worrying.

Wish him all the best, in a somewhat less competitive LHW division with a bit of luck he could have definitely won a world title.

A real genuine guy, the kind of person that everything he says he means. Losing his dad has clearly been incredibly hard for him and he's found it hard to motivate himself without him around. He can be proud of what he's done in the sport, he dropped Beterbiev, he won titles, he did things that 99.9% of professional boxers can only dream of. I hope he manages to get himself into a happy place and enjoying life.

A brit who looked a bit like David Beckham and was exciting in the ring. Not sure why there was never really a push to build a big following. Promoters dropped the ball. Wish him all the best. I remember winning money on him when he fought Buglioni.

He's getting massive in the gym now and, rather unfortunately, looks like he's becoming a Crossfitter, man I hate Crossfitters.

100%. A few of my strongmen mates switched to it for a bit we referred to them as WOD wankers

He's posted a video today of him deadlifting 155kg once. 155kg. Once. I don't want to pretend I'm a young Arnie but although I haven't deadlifted for a while, the last time I did I was doing 8 reps of 170kg and I thought that was rubbish.

155kg is indeed a **** deadlift for anyone over the age of 18, if he has trained it for 3 months.

I just checked out the post and you’ve got it mixed up mate. He’s posted two vids, one is a trap bar deadlift at 230kg and the other is him narrowly failing a 155kg bench.
