I just spoke to Adelaide Byrd and she said unequivocally that Canelo did not buy her.
She said "a million dollars isn't enough to buy me. But that $100,000 check came in handy during the holidays"

Smith knew he MIGHT get it, which is different. Of course he was training, a whole bunch of people were training wondering what the fck is going on, nobody able to do it properly.
Meanwhile Canelo plays games and doesn't have the manliness to just be upfront.
In case you didn't know, Hearn just admitted they didn't even know they were getting the fight until 10minutes before Canelo was set to announce his next fight.
That's unreal. And it's because Canelo is such an insane level diva and has such massive disrespect for champion fighters.
Anybody who defends that is a POS.

Mundo Callum better be ready because Canelo is going to knock him out. Just all round a much better fighter. To me Mundo is an overhyped fighter who got lucky against an injured compromised George Groves.

Anyone who genuinely believes Callum Smith has 3 weeks to prepare is an idiot. Yes it only got signed this week but Smith would have been told weeks ago its a strong possibility so get the to work.

You have to remember nothing could have been officially signed until the Canelo case vs GBP was resolved.

He is saying you legally shouldn't imply you have absolute proof when you most likely have a tenuous case.

It's evidence, but extremely weak evidence as there are tons of other ways to explain the judging.

It could be bad incentives for the judges, they could be biased by the crowds, they could just be incompetent etc.

It's not even on the same planet as proof.

You're confusing "staying in the gym" for training camp. Most name fighters stay in the gym year round and still enter into big fights with an 8-10 week training camp.

Yes I understood that as I've already commented. Tenuous? There are many Police scenarios where Police are certain someone's was involved in something but lack solid legal evidence. Look there is no solid evidence, but looking at the context everything very clearly points towards something illegal happening. Just because there is no evidence is no reason to turn a blind eye and lick Canelos ass like he's the next coming of Jesus Christ and especially when the context is pretty damn clear.

And even if there is solid evidence they'll cover it up in some form or another.

I strongly suspect there is a lot illegal behind the scenes and so do many but carry on believing this bull**** fraud and carry on ruin boxing with this shite.

It's not proof no, but read.. CONSISTENT bad judging is very suspect in respect to Canelo. Not only this but numerous Golden Boy fighters have had extreme suspect scorecards. You're turning a blind eye and chucking in loads of factors to excuse the terrible inconsistent judgijg in favour of Canelo.
Get the **** out and stop supporting this fraud in boxing.

I think he's guilty, I'm just saying I don't have the proof for it all there with absolute certainty, I don't reckon it matters here but he's right that legally it wouldn't be wise to assert.

What’s the difference? What would Smith have been doing different 3 weeks ago had the fight been signed a month ago?

What do you mean what is the difference? For one thing, the intensity level of the workouts. Conditioning and stamina and getting used to being punched again. Hard sparring because he'd be in thick of camp.

Big name fighters tend to stay in shape year round and then they begin their standard 8-10 week training camps after a fight announcement.

There's no defending this. Callum Smith would take an 8-10 camp every single time. It's why it's rare for a fight to be announced 1 month out from fight night.
