He won the belt against an easy opponent. Like many many others have and will continue to do in boxing. If it’s so easy to rock Saunders then why doesn’t Smith with his massive reach and crazy power just box him then?

You and I both know it’s not an easy fight for Smith so it’s no surprise to see their reluctance to get in with the Superb one.

Let's be 100% real, the shot injured George Groves Callum Smith won his only title against wasn't miles ahead of Isufi.

It was his main tool that jab. Probably one of the best jabs in boxing and he dislocated that left shoulder. He was completely ****ed.

Of course he was. George Groves of today would destroy Isufi without a training camp.

I still can't believe that Saunders has a belt at SMW. One fight against a total nobody, who no longer has a ranking, and he gets a belt.

    Let’s not rewrite history.

    Completely ****ed was he?

I’ve read some **** (and probably posted some myself!) on here before but honestly that comparison to say Isufi weren’t far off Groves is the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever read on here.

It’s a complete disservice and injustice to mention him in the same sentence as that fraud who was gifted a rank.

I know people on here love to stick the boot in on Hearn and his fighters but by disrespecting Groves? Really? It’s a new low.

Groves was mentally retired before the fight

    He had nothing left

Doesn’t change the fact that he was ****ed. Haye was ****ed against Bellew but he still won rounds.

No one is disrespecting Groves. Relax mate. It’s just a fact that Smith got him when he was past his prime and with a surgically repaired shoulder that probably ended his career. A good win for Smith but that’s all.

Think it is a perfectly fair offer.

Kind of offer if you wanted the fight you would take imo

Groves wasn't 100% but Isufi was awful. Smith's win is far better.

I would have Smith as a favourite vs Saunders as you would imagine he would land at some point, but BJS isn't an easy fight for anyone. And he has the potential to make someone tall and upright like Smith look awful for long stretches. What Smith does have is a lot of patience which works in his favour against someone like BJS.

Hope it gets made. Logical fight is for Eubank to try and avenge his loss vs BJS but he clearly doesn't fancy it.

I wouldnt be surprised if we end up with Callum Smith v CEJ on ppv. Should be a decent enough fight to fill a stadium for the homecoming and an easy ppv sell for the casuals.
