Are they going to enter 'deep negotiations' soon?

Saunders will probably not fight for another 12 months now such a bloody waste could have been an British atg had he had the commitment a few years back. Pains me to say it but bjs would be 1 of the biggest names in boxing had he been with matchroom

You can’t blame Frank. Most of Billy’s problems have been self inflicted. He’s been an absolute nightmare for Warren with his pulling out of fights and general behaviour.

He's never going to be one of the biggest names because he's got no fans. He could be fighting top class opposition three times a year, year in year out, and who would be bothered?

Genuine boxthing fans would be delighted to see BJS fighting 3 times per year against top class opponents.

Genuine boxing fans might be but that wouldn't turn him into one of the biggest names.

I've no time for a guy like Warren who happily steals money from fighters and seeks out loopholes to avoid paying them, but Saunders is largely unpromotable.

Yes this is true but if he was with matchroom I don't think he would have been able to get away with his antics Warren clearly pits up with it because he is probably Frank's biggest star!!

Billy Joe is open to offers from Smith's team, there haven't been any yet.

Remember Frank sent the offer on the 4th of June so it's not like they haven't had time to think and come up with a counter offer

It’s really interesting to look at the reactions on this forum to the Yarde-Kovalev situation and this one with Bill and Smith.

In Yarde’s case he’s literally signed to fight Kovalev IN RUSSIA and the hold up is purely on Kovalev’s side firstly because of a refusal to do VADA testing for the fight and then because Kovalev is waiting to see if he can fight a smaller man in Canelo instead. That has been confirmed by Warren, Arum and Duva! Yet the majority reaction on this forum has been to blame Yarde and continue to criticise him!!! Utter madness and bias.

Now, we have a situation where Frank Warren has made an offer to Smith - a totally fair 50/50 offer. No counter offer has been made by Smith’s team. Yet the immediate reaction by many on this forum has been to attack Billy Joe Saunders!!! Again utter madness.

I get plenty of stick on here for my alleged biases and I don’t really care tbh. But this takes the biscuit. The Matchroom bumsquad can’t handle the fact that two Warren fighters are going all out to land big, very hard fights that most predicted they wouldn’t want. The fact that the immediate reactions of many are to attack and slander the two Warren fighters in each case is really telling.

Surely everyone should be getting behind Yarde and Saunders for trying to make these fights happen.

Mind you, we still have people insisting that this forum hasn’t been infiltrated by Matchroom employees.

I actually think BJS could be huge if he fought 3 times a year, massive, especially if he kept winning. He's a slick operator, a wind up merchant and he would soon gain a strong traveller following that he could take to the States and turn a few heads with, especially with his link with Fury. Put it this way, he's a schooling of Canelo away from superstardom, and that's the most annoying thing, he's wasted it all f**king about so we'll probably never know how good he can be.

Cannot argue with your Warren comments but we would all watch BJS v Canelo, GGG or even a rematch with Eubanks Jnr

Hearn should make a counter offer. It’s a really good 50/50 fight which actually would warrant PPV.

I hope they do or take on Canelo or a unification next. I said on page 1 (I think) it’s time for Smith to start getting these big fights.
