Callum Smith has now recieved an offer to fight Billy Joe Saunders on BT Sport PPV

I really think Smith could beat Alvarez in a way that the judges would find impossible to score in the Clen users favour. It would be nice to see a man who was fighting small Welters at catchweights they couldn't bulk up to getting beaten by a huge Super Middleweight. Don't get me wrong, I think Alvarez is a brilliant boxer, fantastic at certain things, I just struggle to see past the use of such a performance enhancer and how he was probably on it for years, putting the lives of many opponents in potential danger, danger higher than just entering the ring to face a clean opponent.

 

The facts are this is a huge fight for both men.The winner will have the best win on their resume,they will be unified champion,they will I'm certain get the biggest payday of their careers.So this is a no brainer for us and the fighters I'd say.We all know boxing EGOPOLITICS is going to shaft us..so what is it going to take for this British superfight to happen?

How are both irrelevant? Neither are ticket sellers but both are good fighters and world champions.

 

Smith has headlined and sold out an arena in the UK before. Don’t think Saunders has.

 

Cause no one really cares. Smith might be a champion but he’s had 1 decent win against a shot groves. And that was ages ago. His brother Paul is probably more famous, just cause he’s a bitter bad word on Twitter.

Billy is irrelevant cause he’s a bad word and no one trusts his fights to actually go ahead.

Chris Eubanks jr is bigger than them both put together.

Them being unpopular doesn’t make them irrelevant though because they can still be in big/good fights. Eubank jr is more popular because of the name and has a fan friendly style, he’s entertaining but obviously a much inferior boxer.

They’re both not majorly popular. But if Smith was on in Liverpool this winter it would sell out (8-10k I think capacity). Saunders against Isufi at Stevenage was about 4k at very maximum.

As a non subscriber to sly sports I'm part of a whole different problem, so I disagree. But pay per view, sadly, exists as a reality. If a fight is pay per view worthy, unlike many made these days, then this is the epitome of what should capture the British boxing public. Emphasis, ideal world and all being boxing purists and everything being straight forward and one dimensional.

There can be foresight out of one's own perspective. I wouldn't subscribe for support, can see why the assumption was made, but you and I are nothing in the wider picture. This is a ppv worthy fight

He makes weight absolutely no problem at all at the minute. I think if he does move up it will be to chase big fights
