Callum Smith is a monster my gosh

I have nothing against the guy, congrats for his win but for me that's a prime exemple of a weight bully.

People often talks about Lemieux being huge for middle weight and yeah, weight wise he is, but his height and reach are not made for anyone at 168 so he is stuck in that division. His power would probably carry but if you can keep him at bay with a jab you will win.

For Smith, I just can't see how a 6'3'' can weigh 168lbs... I'm 5'10'' and 180lbs. If I was in shape my normal weight would be 170. I think Zurdo too is pretty tall. They should be at light heavy. Sorry for being off topic a little.

Smith is a strange one for me, he's either looked brilliant or bang average. Last night he looked enormous compared to groves.

 

He could move up to LHW and maybe even Cruiser in his later years.

 

I think Golovkin beats him from pillar to post.

Campbell might not win a title if Loma and Mikey stay there. Unfortunately for him there's 2 p4p 5 guys there.

 

Probably. He should have beat Linares too. Just started off late. If you watch 6-12 of that fight you'd think that Campbell was superior to Linares.

 

I'm 6'3" and weigh 130lbs, without any weight-cutting - so I can see how Callum can briefly make 168lb for a weigh-in.

 

Even the haters have to admit he has never come close to losing even in his dullest performances.

Skoglund fight was the most competitive and I think he was effected by a broken nose that put him off his stride. He still only lost 4 rounds at maximum and finished strongly. Skoglund proved he was better than credited for imo, not that Smith was bad.

 

Kudos for winning the tournament! Damn impressive achievement! Could be the best SMW atm. I think he should, as long as he can make weight, stay there and unify. Moving to LHW may not be a good idea.

59kg this morning.... I won't be winning any bench-press competitions(but I am a reasonable rock climber - so can probably do more pull-ups etc than many far more muscular folk).

 

Are you a girl? If you're not, you should have been a pro-boxer at 122 lol. Imagine you blow up to like 140 fight night being 6'3 with that massive reach advantage against 5'4-5'5 fighters lol.
