Some people on here seem to think Degale is a future p4p star and the number 1 super middle  it's really laughable

He got beat by Groves, got lucky in a decision against Wicielski. Had 2 razor thin wins against Past it Bute and Dirrell. and apart from that has no good wins.

He lacks power and stamina...and switches off in fights

He's just good/average.., certain people hyping him must be looking for a hope or something.

whereas Callum Smith is getting slept on when he's looking really really good and is one of the best prospects in the world. He seems to have everything, his body shot attacks are brilliant.

Callum Smith would give Degale a beating that's for sure..

Which one has the Gold Medal?

Which one has the World Championship?

Which one has beaten GGG's two best opponents in a 6 month stretch?

    Inquiring minds want to know...

I never even thought about amateur resume. if you count those guys like Golovkin, Rigo and Lomachenko are a lock for the Hall of Fame or even ATG status entering the ring for their first pro bout.

Degale has tbe Gold medal and the world title..But do your research.. Callum Smith had the biggest robbery at the Olympic Qualifiers in 2012 in Turkey to a Turkish fighter.. Watch the fight. Read the report on the fight it was the biggest robbery/fix..he won clearly. So He didnt have the chance to win a gold medal.

GGGs best opponents have been . Murray, Lemeiux, Geale, Macklin.... degale hasn't beat any of those.

Who is 5 years younger than the other?

Who turned pro in early 2009 and who turned pro in late 2012?

    Who is undefeated?

    Inquiring minds want to know.....!

it has nothing to do with race. Callum smith just looks better yet is unknown

Degale is overhyped... i do think some of the people overating/overhyping just do it because hes mixed raced/ half black though like hes a hope for them

Who has the better Resume? DeGale.
Who has the better Amateur achievements? DeGale.
Who has the better Professional achivements? DeGale.

If DeGale beats Jack - which it looks like he will at some point - then this argument is going to look even more stupid.

"He lacks power and stamina...and switches off in fights" is completely true.
    DeGale is def overrated.
But Smith isn't being slept on, he's overhyped if anything.

All means nothing at this point.what matters is in the next year or two and at the end of their careers.Smith is just 25, Degale is 30. Smith has only been a pro just over 3 years.

I don't think you know this.. but Smiths next fight is a WBC final eliminator.. so he will likely get to Badou Jack first. Then Smith and Degale can unify and believe me Smith would beat Degale. As soon as Degale faces a good fighter in his prime years he gets beat. Badou Jack vs Degale would be a 50/50 fight.

    Degale has proven himself.
Callum I am not convinced about at all. He doesnt look very fast and I dont think he has great power. I couldnt imagine Callum doing anything during the British SMW scene in the 90s/early 00s which was exceptionally good and better than todays division ie Eubank, Benn, Calzaghe, Reid, Woodhall, Catley, Starie, Francis to name a few. I am not sure how well Callum would have done against Clinton Woods when a SMW or M Baker

Oh, so he couldn't QUALIFY for the Olympics? Got it.

And Daniel Gaele and Macklin are better than Bute?
