Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I like Callum, but his two best wins (Fielding and Groves) rank a long way behind Froch and Kessler.
Cheating? I saw groves dig a totally illegal shot, Ward style, straight to Smiths balls. Smithy walked through it like a bauss, no complaints, no fuss and then left hooked GG into oblivion and smashed him up. Protect urself at all times.
Hmmmm Some ppl would say he never actually beat kessler. Instead he headbutted him into submission? So its really froch and alan green. Lets not get ahead of ourselves
Groves was down on one knee, bent over, back of his head exposed and Smith hit him while he was down. That's a DQ all day! Way more blantant than the phantom nut shot Ward landed to end the Kovalev fight. Wards shot is debatable, but the Smith shot is not even up for discussion! DQ! Smith and Ward probably use the same guys to deliver their pay off money!
Smith just smashed a guy it took Froch two fights to beat decisively! Same guy who neither Degale or Jack could beat convincingly either... Despatching of Fielding & Groves with vicious ease of this nature without hugging there foreheads to death is impressive... Lol
You need to google Son of goat and you will defo find him. Interesting little fact btw. ######################## This content is protected
He is or at least was at super middle. Ring magazine champ and not elite? Who else is ahead of him then at that weight?
I don't care nothing about Boxrec, I am looking at the man's skills. Everybody knows that Groves can fall. Froch showed us that, You act like because he knocked Groves out that now he's special. No go!! He is a decent fighter but not on the level of Ward. Ward's boxing IQ was second to none.
Is this a pi$$ take? I'm proud and impressed by my fellow Liverpudlian and he has a promising future; But the rest of it, at this stage--first title fight and win--is projecting at a Hans Christian Anderson level. I'm assuming it's joke hyperbole. If not...behave yourself.
Well, since the final blow Smith struck to Groves was on the ground, that becomes a DQ, which leaves Froch vs...Fielding.
He was top of a weak division and let's be honest he hasn't beaten 1 top tier fighter besides Degale years ago. I like Groves but he isn't elite, top tier no doubt but I class fighters like Ward, GGG, Lomo, Usyk and Canelo etc as elite, Groves falls short imo.
Which is why he needed the judges to gift him the victory against Kovalev the first time right? And why he needed to resort to dangerous pubic punches in the rematch?
He ain't that great. He KO'd Groves so that means he's better than Ward? It's laughable. David Benevidez will wreck him. If Smith can avoid a fight with David there's nobody any good at 168 anymore so he should just stay there. One division north and there's sharks in that pool. Kovalev, Gvosdyk and Alvarez. Oh and what about Beterbiev, Stevenson and Bivol? All of whom Ward likely beats. On the other hand, sensing weakness in the division, what if GGG moves up? Or some of the bigger middles like Charlo or Jacobs? All of those guys might beat him. He's ****ed. So no.
