Not sure the opponents Smith fought in this fights you highlight as scary knockouts are top level guys. I give him no chance against any version of Beterbiev who I have seen beat really good fighters and champions. I would also strongly favour both Buatsi and Yarde over maybe also Craig Richardson.
Smith must be the luckiest boxer active today for opportunities. The luckiest winner, of all in the WBSS, drew a kick boxer and drastically injured Groves to gain trophy. The Ryder “win!” then the Alvarez lottery score, followed by a passive defeat. Now, a mando, for beating an unknown. The real disgrace here is that he is blocking a Beterbiev/Bivol fight, that fight needs to happen now. Get Buatsi for Smith, meantime.
Lenin Castillo or Gilbert Castillo Rivera as he's known now was a pretty good amateur who was an Olympian and he also won the gold medal at the Junior Pan American Championships among other things. He also took Bivol the 12 round distance and did the same against Marcus Browne over 10 rounds. In fact, he even dropped Browne. Smith is the only fighter to stop him and he did so in spectacular and scary fashion. Bivol dropped Castillo once and Beterbiev did knock him out in the gym too. He's not top level but he's very capable and he's no bum. Mathieu Bauderlique is an Olympic bronze medalist and he fought a lot of very good/excellent guys in the amateurs, beating some too. This content is protected He beat 2 x Olympic silver medalist/2 x world amateur silver medalist Adilbek Niyazymbetov who is the fighter who beat Buatsi in the Olympic semi-final and he also beat 2 x world amateur/1 x bronze world amateur championship silver medalist, 3 x European gold medalist, 1 x Junior world gold medalist Joe Ward I remember being impressed by him in the Rio Olympics. He's no mug No you're underrating Smith and overrating Buatsi and Yarde to ''strongly'' favour either to beat him. Not saying he beats both or they beat him, but many would have him a favourite over them
I understand your tribal support but it won’t end well for Mundo against Beterbiev and other top l8ght heavyweights.
