    An underdog triumph might be considered worthy of a spot alongside the iconic away wins by the likes of Ken Buchanan, Lloyd Honeyghan, and Kell Brook.

    But promoter Eddie Hearn believes, like Smith, that his undefeated 6ft 3in powerhouse is better than his 7-2 odds suggest.

    “It won’t be Honeyghan beating Curry, because nobody gave Honeyghan a chance”, Hearn told SunSport.
    I feel it would be a huge upset but would it really rank alongside Honeyghan`s win over Cury in terms of how big an upset it would be? Are the 7-2 odds a bit over the top?

    Canelo will batter him.


    "Callum Smith is huge though"...so? he stands square on with a high guard and his long-range stuff is nothing special. A close tough fight with Rhyder who Canelo will be the same size as. I think Canelo will stop him after toying with him early.

    Canelo would have watched that fight and got a massive hard on at such an opponent. Almost tailor made.

    Andre Ward and a non shot Kovalev would have been interesting, Canelo is smart enough not to mess around with that fire though.

    I just hope the Texas Commission is still as honest as it was when Dickie Cole ran it back when I was there & they dont allow any Clenelo deals or hired judges. It would be good to see Clenelo in a fair straight down the middle fight for once

    If Smith was a jabber and mover, id give him a chance because he has power especially the left hook. but he isnt that, he doesnt use his reach advantages enough. 6'3 vs 5'9 canelo has no right to get inside.
