I cant remember the last time I was excited for a british title fight.

Might have been Fury/Chisora 1 or Degale/Groves but its been quite a while. Hoping this lives up to the expectations i have. Definately watching it live in the pub

Saunders v Eubank Jr was for a British title as well as European wasn't it?

so it was. that one slipped my mind but truthfully I didnt rate Saunders much and Eubank had been fighting cans up until that point, The main interest in that fight seemed to be more about Chris Eubank Jr based on his fathers achievements. That being said Eubank has gone on to prove hes a very capable fighter despite the loss and hopefully see more of him in the future, as for Saunders I dont give him much chance against Andy Lee and expect him to be knocked out when the two meet

Ive been keeping an eye on Rocky Fielding since he won Prizefighter (had the pleasure of meeting Tobias Webb at a boxing themed wedding ) and he seemed to be in hiatus since though

Callum Smith is well respected by his brothers as the best of the 3 and is nearing world honours so this is why its an interesting match up for me personally.

Sure the may not be as well known as a bronze medalist and son of a legend but im expecting this to be a bit of a barn burner . . . hopefully it lives up to that expectation

I think people more hoped Fielding than expected it. I'd have preferred not to have to listen to another smug Smith bro if I had the choice too.

Callum is alright, decent lad. in fact Stephen and Liam seem cool as well.

Yeah I had a bit of a feeling that Fielding may win but it wasnt confident by any stretch and I still dont think as I said previously that either are going to go on at the top level at SMW, but have said that the division is not very strong at the moment which may create some opportunities that may not have been around previously.
Both just seem slow and easy to hit and although it was a good win for Callum, I am not convinced he is a puncher at the highest level, but hats off to him, he did far better than I would have imagined even when I was at one time swaying his way.
Still more amusing than a wrong prediction is a poster who posts on a thread after the result :patsch. That tends to show the nature of the person there when they do that, and thats you on this thread :yep:oops:

What is more amusing is someone who makes over 150 posts and starts 17 new threads in one day, then has the audacity to call someone else a ''forum nerd''
