Callum Smith vs Canelo

Waited for Smith to be exposed, not fighting Beterbiev, not going to UK, etc.

(Yes it’s a good fight.)

 

It will be a boring fight with Canelo shelled up coming forward stealing the fight with some counters.

A combo of the Kovalev and Fielding fights.....fighting in spurts and it being eye catching enough to win the rounds.

I want the Beterbiev fight though. I think this is the one EVERYONE wants to see....Canelo in a firefight with a big puncher.

 

Not a bad fight but it will be a tough sell. Callum Smith looks like Rocky Fielding so the public will view it as a mismatch. They marketed Rocky Fielding as a champ so most think Smith will be KO'd in two rounds.
GGG-Manfredo Jr on the undercard & maybe Saunders & Andrade can showcase on the card too

 

Smith will be something Canelo hasn't fought.

He'll have a MASSIVE height and reach advantage (almost comical), and Smith is well able to box.

 

Well, the fact that Smith iced Fielding in 1 round should dissuade people of that idea.

Funny, this was looked at as a spectacular match up by most only a few weeks ago.

 

And he looked crappy against Ryder who is a midget with none of Canelo’s precision, power, and defense.

 

Smith really struggled with Ryder to the extent that his height was a disadvantage. Ryder easily ducked under Smith's jab then bullied him on the inside.

Ginger is a similar short compact fighter with very good defensive skills and great body punches. And with respect to Gorilla Ginger is a level above skill and experience wise.

Can't only see a dominant win for Ginger here. And no way would he come to Liverpool lol.

 

Even Ryder is taller with better reach than Canelo.

 

He fights out of a crouch though.

 

Smith looked awful against Ryder. I didn't give him much credit beating George Groves either, he was an absolute shell of the fighter he used to be. Canelo beats him easily.
