Callum Smith vs Canelo

This. Ryder may just have earned Smith his Canelo payday by writing the blueprint.

 

I can’t see how they can sell Smith as a future opponent for Canelo.

There is the serious fact that he lost his last fight and got a gift. Then there is the fact that he doesn’t have any elite wins over a world class fighter in their prime.

Finally there is the fact that Rocky Fielding laid down and died against Canelo in a farcical performance. Most fans will view Smith as being a Rocky Fielding Mark 2 even though he is a level higher and would cause Canelo more problems than Fielding did.

It isn’t a fight I want to see Canelo make. I think Ryder deserves it more than Smith does.

 

This is a really bad post. Ryder’s performance despite the huge physical disadvantages proved he is elite. His defence was superb. He barely was caught with anything. With 90% of Smiths shots missing, falling short or being blocked. When Ryder did get openings his accuracy was great.

Canelo is on another level yes. But let’s not write Ryder off like that.

 

This is getting ridiculous. Now even monster Smith looks vulnerable against a short inside fighter.
Can someone just f-king KO Canelo already.
It's looking like we're going to have to pull Froch out of retirement just to get this done.
